Happy New Year and God bless Mom's and Dad's............Please!

Came from visiting mom and dad today, so good to see them, yet so sad to see the ravages of time.

I will always remember the good times we've  had together. And be sorrowful for the times, I hurt them.

Whether by speech or action............... I shall always regret my transgressions.

Dad and mom,....... both of them are cut from an old cloth of simple dignity. They worked hard to get ahead

and do as much as they could to help everyone in their families and extended families. Simple farm people

that came to the big city of Savannah, seeking a better life. They found it! Worked hard to understand the

ways of the new world they had ventured into and proved their mettle.

God Bless all the aging moms and dads.

Blogging or Mafia wars?

That is the question. I have missed expressing my old ass ideas. If the ole brain don't forget my password, lookout ................he's backkkkkkkkkkkk. Missed the blog meets, missed Eric and Fiona, Rick and Georgia and Robbie. I guess I was a little pissed.
LIfe's a struggle, but damn it is fun. The trials and the successes.

Mom's got the Alzheimer thing, dad's getting to old to help her much, he does the best he can. I wish I was living with them again so, maybe I could help , wish in one hand and .... in the other and see which fill up first.

On the lighter side, I now have two wonderful grandbabies. They'll be with us tomorrow nite and they still love this old man.

Looking forward to retirement, rotflmao. Never happen, I hope.

I haven't chase the dollars in a long time. Hell, can't run as fast as they do. But.......... I am beginning to lust after a new big ole flat screen and maybe a dually, huuuuum, well maYBE NOT.

Seen a lot of life, like to see some more. Come to see us, if you get a chance.

Love you,

Ken

Survive or Not?

To survive is the most motivation a man (or woman) will know. To know what you are capable of doing, is truly a double edged sword. On the one hand you will be very satisfied to have done what you had to do to survive. But, there is a possiblity, that guilt will ride your spirit for the rest of your life.

It came home to rest

I, or we, my company, have for four years serviced a condo neighborhood. Providing mainly roofing services. They had been screwed by cheats for years. They had 3 layers of roofing on 24" center trusses.
We came in and began to repair the damage and give them an all American job. No leaks, no problems.
Now all of a sudden, people who can not speak the kings english, do not understand, license, bond and insurance, Have found a way to take my work from me. Cheaper prices! Will they be around in the winter? When a leak may occur? No! But they have pissed me off, and taken a job from my brother! And caused me to defend my prices. Bull shit. They will take the money and run! Can you say ILLEGAL ALIENS!
Man I am pissed!

Irony

Irony, thy name is government. This does make a statement doesn't it? 5 million of our older Americans have not signed up yet for their Medicare, Part D, drug plan------they are old and confused. We are not going to grant them an extension. However, 12 million illegal aliens are in our coun try and we are going to allow them to stay, protest, procreate, receive support monies, attend schools, avoid paying income taxes, have our teachers take 300 hours of ESL (English as a Second Language) training at our expense, etc. We must hate old people.... or we really love tacos!
